The Lowe 3' TSQ Tree Auger Bit—often referred to as a tree bit—is purpose-built for professional tree planting applications where root health and soil structure matter. Designed and manufactured in the USA, Lowe TSQ augers feature a stepped flighting design that creates an ideal planting hole by loosening surrounding soil while forming proper space for the tree’s root ball.

Unlike standard auger bits, TSQ tree bits start with half the final diameter for the first foot of flighting, then transition to full diameter for the remaining depth. For example, a 24" TSQ bit begins at 12" for the first foot, then steps up to 24" for the remaining two feet. This design is preferred by landscapers, nurseries, and contractors because it promotes healthier root expansion, better soil aeration, and improved tree establishment.

All Lowe TSQ Tree Bits feature a 36-inch digging depth, a 2" female hex drive, and a 1-1/8" square pilot point receiver, making them fully compatible with Lowe SQ-series points, teeth, and carbide options. Equipped with bolt-on replaceable teeth, these bits are easy to maintain and built to perform in a wide range of soil conditions.
