Gentec Mechanical Weld-On Excavator Thumb | 4,000–9,900 lb Machines

Regular price $920.00
Brand: Gentec Equipment

The Gentec Mechanical Weld-On Excavator Thumb gives compact excavators a better way to grab, hold, sort, and move logs, rocks, brush, concrete, demolition debris, and other irregular material.

Unlike a hydraulic thumb, this model is manually positioned using the adjustable linkage. That makes it a practical, lower-cost option for operators who don’t have auxiliary hydraulics or only need a thumb occasionally. Three working positions allow the thumb to be adjusted for different jobs, and it folds against the excavator stick when it isn’t being used.

Choose between the 24" MT824 and 30" MT830 based on your excavator, bucket geometry, and coupler setup. The longer model may be needed when additional reach is required to properly meet the bucket.

Best for: Handling brush, logs, rocks, concrete pieces, construction debris, and loose land-clearing material.

Quick fit check: Designed for excavators weighing approximately 4,000–9,900 lb, depending on the selected model. Professional weld-on installation is required. Auxiliary hydraulics are not required.

FITMENT & INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

Machine Type: Compact and mini excavators
Mounting Interface: Weld-on backplate
Auxiliary Hydraulics: Not required
Installation: Professional welding required
Recommended Installer: Qualified equipment dealer, fabrication shop, or experienced equipment welder

The thumb must be manually moved between its working and stowed positions. The operator must leave the cab and properly secure the linkage before operating the machine.

Model selection must be based on the excavator, bucket geometry, and coupler configuration—not operating weight alone. The thumb must be positioned so it properly meets the bucket throughout the intended working range.

Please provide your excavator make, model, year, operating weight, bucket width, and coupler information so CrewTough can confirm the appropriate model before the order is released.
