The Gentec Hydraulic Pin-On Excavator Thumb gives 4–9.9 ton excavators better control when handling logs, rocks, brush, concrete, demolition debris, and other loose or irregular material.
The pin-on design rotates with the excavator bucket, helping the thumb maintain consistent contact throughout its working range. This provides better control when grabbing, holding, sorting, loading, and positioning material.
Each thumb is custom-built to match the customer’s excavator, bucket, and coupler geometry. Gentec uses a completed measurement form to configure the thumb width, length, main pin, and mounting components for the specific machine.
Choose the correct excavator weight class and either a two-tine or four-tine configuration. Two tines are a strong general-purpose choice for logs, rocks, and larger material. Four tines provide wider coverage for brush, loose debris, and irregular loads.

2 Tines: A narrower configuration well suited for general log, rock, concrete, and debris handling.

1-Year Limited Warranty
Gentec Equipment warrants to the original purchaser that all attachments manufactured by Gentec Equipment are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
If a defect is found within this warranty period, Gentec Equipment will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product or part free of charge, subject to the terms outlined below.
Warranty Claim Procedure
Customers must notify Gentec Equipment immediately of the defect by phone or email.
All claims must be accompanied by a photograph of the defective product.
Repairs or replacements must be pre-approved by a Gentec Equipment representative.
The defective product must be returned to a location designated by Gentec Equipment.
Limitations
This warranty does not cover labour costs, including installation, removal, or transportation expenses.
Gentec Equipment’s warranty will not apply to:
Products that, in our judgment, have been misused, abused, or improperly maintained.
Products that are not sold or manufactured by Gentec Equipment or an authorized Gentec Equipment dealer.
Alterations or repairs not authorized by Gentec Equipment.
Damages to equipment or downtime resulting from a defective Gentec Equipment product.
