The Gentec Hydraulic Pin-On Excavator Thumb gives compact excavators better control when grabbing logs, rocks, brush, concrete, demolition debris, and other loose or irregular material.
Unlike a weld-on thumb with its own pivot point, the pin-on design is built to rotate with the bucket. This helps the thumb maintain better contact with the bucket through its working range, providing more control when grabbing, sorting, loading, and positioning material.
Each thumb is custom-built for the customer’s excavator, bucket, and coupler setup. Gentec uses a completed measurement form to manufacture the main pin, mounting components, thumb width, and thumb length for the specific machine.
Choose from a two-tine configuration for general material handling or a four-tine configuration for wider coverage when handling loose or irregular material.
Best for: Handling brush, logs, rocks, concrete pieces, demolition debris, and loose land-clearing material.
Quick fit check: Available for excavators in the 1.5–3.9 metric ton range. Auxiliary hydraulics are required. This is a custom-fit attachment, and a completed Gentec measurement form is required before production.

The customer must provide the excavator make, model, year, operating weight, bucket information, quick-coupler configuration, and all measurements requested on Gentec’s measurement form. Gentec uses this information to configure the thumb, main pin, and mounting components.
Orders should not be released for production until CrewTough and Gentec have reviewed and approved the completed fitment information.

1-Year Limited Warranty
Gentec Equipment warrants to the original purchaser that all attachments manufactured by Gentec Equipment are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
If a defect is found within this warranty period, Gentec Equipment will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product or part free of charge, subject to the terms outlined below.
Warranty Claim Procedure
Customers must notify Gentec Equipment immediately of the defect by phone or email.
All claims must be accompanied by a photograph of the defective product.
Repairs or replacements must be pre-approved by a Gentec Equipment representative.
The defective product must be returned to a location designated by Gentec Equipment.
Limitations
This warranty does not cover labour costs, including installation, removal, or transportation expenses.
Gentec Equipment’s warranty will not apply to:
Products that, in our judgment, have been misused, abused, or improperly maintained.
Products that are not sold or manufactured by Gentec Equipment or an authorized Gentec Equipment dealer.
Alterations or repairs not authorized by Gentec Equipment.
Damages to equipment or downtime resulting from a defective Gentec Equipment product.
